I would use it more often if there was better transport to the Aspen Highlands area from this location.

How do you use the Brush Creek Park and Ride (pick all that apply)?

3 to 8 hours

What could encourage you to begin using or increase your use of the Brush Creek Park and Ride to Carpool, use Transit, or Bicycle to your final destination?
Advanced warning of congestion into Aspen and/or Snowmass, Other - Better biking option along 82

The site plan and description above illustrates the layout and features currently being considered with the Park and Ride improvements. Please provide your thoughts and comments.
I like the improvements.

Optional - What is your overall opinion of the Brush Creek Park and Ride how it exists today and why?
Great upgrade when it was first opened. Now it often becomes maxxed out, for all the right reasons. As stated above, figuring out how to bike to the AABC, without getting on Hwy 82 proper, would be a huge bonus for this community. Also, establishing direct buses to Highlands would get more people off the road. Currently the connection at the round-about is terrible.

Ride share parking and overnight (non camping if that's easier) should be expressly allowed, according to RFTA's site "These parking lots are intended for the exclusive use of RFTA transit and Rio Grande Trail users. All other uses of these facilities are prohibited:" I realize this isn't strictly enforced but if Pitkin County is supporting these lots it would be nice if they were available for rideshare and people who would like to leave their vehicle overnight and visit or recreate in Aspen or Snowmass without having to worry about their car.

I like it, and use it frequently, but I also love the improvements. Especially the bathrooms! It's the worst to be stuck on a long commute with no where to stop and use the restroom (knowing that another bus will come to go to Aspen in just a few minutes during commute hours).

The site plan and description above illustrates the layout and features currently being considered with the Park and Ride improvements. Please provide your thoughts and comments.
Pitkin County needs to engage the ACRA public affairs committee prior to completion of planning. All businesses with a stake in parking, transportation, and commuters need to be involved in the planning process. Needs transportation options beyond the currently serviced RFTA locations, to get people to Brush Creek Village, Starwood/McLain flats, Red Mountain, East of Aspen, Castle/Maroon, etc. with the ability to transport their necessary equipment/tools and take cars off the road.

Optional - What is your overall opinion of the Brush Creek Park and Ride how it exists today and why?
Needs further planning and improvement to provide more options for regional transportation easing. The current RFTA component works well. The Woody Creek connections were too seasonal when I lived in Woody Creek previously, that needs to be addressed, particularly the Phillips Trailer Park connectivity.

I think its a great location for increasing the number of parking spaces; more trail connections for an option to drive, park and ride bike to Aspen would be so great. I really think real time messaging about traffic and parking conditions in Aspen would encourage parking there as well.

Not sure its apprpriate for folks to be "living" at the PnR" Please do not add lighting and robust signage that would affect the rural character of our valley. I do support letting folks know when parking lots are full.

Optional - What is your overall opinion of the Brush Creek Park and Ride how it exists today and why?
It works, if only more people would use it vs. driving into Aspen

I don't really think its necessary to pave the parking lot but having the bike path cross through up top would make it easier to follow. Better facilities at the stop itself is also a good idea as sometimes you can be waiting 10 plus minutes for a bus.

Paved striped parking is great. But please funnel money into the buses. More buses, more frequently, less crowded. A fleet of we cycle e-bikes would be great too.

Optional - What is your overall opinion of the Brush Creek Park and Ride how it exists today and why?
It seems to work but if you want more people to use it, it needs to be bigger and have more frequent bus service without crowded buses.

In this master planning process, I would highly encourage connectivity to bike trails to get to Aspen, Snowmass, and Rio Grande Trail. I liked the idea (part of Shift) of bringing some food/beverage/coffee carts to the intercept lot. I know it sounds like an "extra" amenity, but in surveying my friends who commute up valley every day, they cited that having the option to grab a quick coffee and breakfast on their way into work (rather than in the ABC or Aspen when they get in) would be a perk to get on the bus because it would save them time on the other end. I don't think that this service should be one that is heavily subsidized by the EOTC, so much as an opportunity that could be made available to local businesses. I'm guessing this would require some zoning changes, but perhaps could be experimented with in a "living lab" sort of way for a few months first?

Optional - What is your overall opinion of the Brush Creek Park and Ride how it exists today and why?
A great amenity for our valley!
